A show-stopping concept named for 1946, the year Vespa production began, drawn at Piaggio's Pontedera style centre. Its rear leans forward, with a hanging seat and a frame rising to a wasp-like tail. The bodywork was a styling exercise, but the engine was a real fuel-injected, air-cooled three-valve four-stroke that Piaggio said would reach production scooters. The 150 cc version is quoted at 9.6 kW / 13.0 hp @ 8000 rpm and 12.6 Nm @ 6500 rpm.
